Our Tapered Belts are handcrafted from 6 oz. Premium Saddle Skirting leather with a back lining of 5 oz. Burgundy Latigo Leather. All edges are burnished to a smooth finish and sewn with braided #348 thread for extra strength. The belts have an application of 100% Neatsfoot Oil applied with an Antique light tan applied.
The main area of the belt is appliqué braided with Kangaroo (shown above) or rawhide. The belt comes with a 1" Hand-engraved Brass or Silver-plated 3-piece buckle set. The price for the Tapered belt with Kangaroo braiding and 3-piece Hand engraved buckle set is $260.00 . The same belt with Rawhide braiding is $306.00. As each of the belts are individually handmade, the turn-around time to make one of these fine custom belts is about 5-6 weeks.
Belts 42" and larger have a small additional fee ($3.00 per inch) added because of the additional braiding time and materials. These belts may also be ordered with the 'Sterling Silver' 3-piece 1" Buckle sets from 'Silver King' (see home page - Silver King Buckles). These quality handmade belts are one-of-a-kind creations that you will only see available from Durango Saddle Co.
